Over the last few weeks we’ve had some exceptionally talented and smart people join the Ayogo Team. Meet the newest Ayogis!
We are pleased to announce the addition of Patrick Moody-Grigsby to our creative team. Patrick carries with him a decade’s worth of fun-making experiences and has released several titles across a variety of platforms for EA Sports, THQ, Activision, and Microsoft. He’s also a teacher and mentor at the VFS Digital Design program. Patrick approached Ayogo after too many years of describing theoretical health apps to his MD girlfriend and her colleagues so that he could finally start making them for real. When Patrick isn’t playing games, *ahem* doing research, he’s probably sailing, gardening, or feeding his friends.
Maria has joined Ayogo as a UX Design Intern! Maria is a student from the Centre for Digital Media and is also an alumni from SFU’s Health Science program as well as Interactive Arts and Technology. She has previously lent her skills in helping design and implement the Digital Communication Interface for BC Children and Women’s Redevelopment Project. She has also worked with Canadian Cancer Society for a number of years as a health promotions coordinator. Apart from designing, you will find Maria buried in a book, photographing brides, couples and families, baking treats for friends and family and extoling the virtues of her favourite authors, designers, health care specialists to anyone who will listen.
We are very excited to have Dan Loach join our team of UX designers. Dan started his career in psychology research. After completing his PhD at Bangor University (North Wales), he went on to work as a research fellow at York University (Toronto) and Macquarie University (Sydney). Dan’s research primarily focused on visual attention and he has spent countless hours performing weird psychological tests on people… so be warned! After leaving academia he worked in a games company designing flash mini-games. More recently Dan created a web app for indexing innovation within organizations. In his free time Dan likes to walk aimlessly around cool neighborhoods. His English heritage explains his penchant for fine ales.
Sonja is a Research Analyst who researches healthcare information policies at Ayogo. She comes from a science background and hopes to use her skills to help Ayogo grow as a company. In her spare time, Sonja likes to read books, bake desserts, and hike in the great outdoors.
We are thrilled to have Alex join the Ayogo Team as our new Co-op software developer. Alex is an ambitious problem solver who has a hobby of programming and creating video games in his spare time. He hopes to bring this passion to Ayogo and be a valuable member of the team. Some of his interests include playing saxophone with his bands, and playing soccer.
