Information Architect
We’re on the hunt for an IA mastermind to add to our growing team. If you constantly redesign user experiences in your mind and think CDO is really OCD in the correct order, you may be exactly the person we’re looking for. We have several exciting new games in the works that require a seasoned pro to help architect and document beautiful games and applications that set new standards in fun, interactivity and play.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in architecting, wireframing, prototyping, testing and documenting across variety of digital mediums; especially games, the web, mobile and social platforms.The ideal candidate will able pick up high-level concepts quickly via game design documents, feature briefs and whiteboard sessions and translate those ideas into thoughtful, usable prototypes. This person knows that well laid plans are the secret to meaningful design and are able to work closely with others and iterate quickly on their ideas to create exceptional experiences. This person will be exceptionally well versed in current usability trends across games, mobile and social experiences. They will constantly look for new ways to innovate during the design process and will champion new ideas and approaches to developing rapid software prototypes.
Required:

Responsibilities:
- *Sketching, conceptualizing and wire-framing intutitve user experiences
- *Producing flow charts, site maps and user flows
- *Creating clickable prototypes on web and mobile
- *Creating interface guidelines and specifications
- *Driving and documenting design standards
- *Facilitating creative workshops
- *Collaborating with visual designers, developers, product owners and others to define product vision, direction and detail
- *Working closely with internal and external groups to plan and deliver formative and evaluative research
- *Planning and mentoring the work of other interaction designers
- *Defining and leading the architecture, wireframing and usability testing processes
- *Articulating a structured, professional process from concept through wireframes to final documentation and testing

Technical Product Manager
Ayogo and its partner companies are collaborating to build a generalized platform for healthcare innovations. In particular, this platform supports the management of diabetes and other chronic diseases through modern Web technologies such as content management, social network, mobile networking, health record management and gamification. The Technical Product Manager will work with the development team, the marketing team and senior management to translate market requirements into detailed documentation which is actionable by the engineering/development team.
Responsibilities:
- * Identifies business and market needs.
- * Gains in depth understanding of underlying needs
- * Gains in depth understanding of systems architecture and interfaces so as to anticipate implications of solution additions, changes, enhancements
- * Translates broad business and market needs to define systems requirements.
- * Maintains close interaction with development leads, product architects to ensure systems understanding and application.
- * Anticipates, identifies and ensures resolution of any possible technical and business implications of any product features and solutions changes, enhancements, additions.
- * Writes Agile product backlogs

Products Managers and Community Managers
We’re looking for product managers and community managers to help us refine our products for the non-profit communities we work with. Ideally, you will have a business, marketing, research or technology background; be experienced in working with the non-profit community; and have first-hand experience with diabetes (in your personal or professional life). You will also need to be comfortable working remotely (or be interested in relocating to Vancouver), and have experience with startups. In order to be a successful candidate for either position, you will need to be fluent with twitter, Facebook, forums, etc.
Product Managers
Responsibilities:
- Help establish product roadmaps.
- Communicate with customers to ensure their needs and desires are properly reflected in the product design.
- Work with technical and creative teams to ensure the right product is built on time and on budget.
- Must be organized, pragmatic and passionate.
Community Managers
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for PR and outreach: You’ll ensure that we know who our customers are, and that they know who we are by representing the company both online and offline.
- Develop, grow and manage a thriving online community with a focus on non-profits groups and people with diabetes, from the ground up.
- Must be personable, articulate, proactive, and have at least a 15 in charisma.

Unity 3D/Flash Mobile Game Developer
Ayogo is looking for an uncommonly talented Unity 3D and Flash programmer to join the existing talent in our development team. Beyond the required skills, we’re looking for candidates with enthusiasm, honesty, and humour. We’re a growing studio, taking on increasingly complex challenges, and we need programmers prepared to hit the ground running and continue to develop their skills over time.
Ayogo builds social games for web and smartphones, both as our own properties and in collaboration with leading health organizations. We work on serious games that motivate and educate, and our motto is to “Make Games Better” by encouraging behaviour change with fun. Everyone on our team is required to be an expert on social game play, and fun game design.
Skills Required
- 3+ years experience in Unity Mobile Programming (C# and UnityScript)
- Flash (especially Mobile)
- ActionScript
- Objective-C
- Java
- Ability to collaborate with designers to provide workable solutions to game play challenges

Software Developers
Ayogo has open positions working on both *client* and *server* components for our games and applications. To be an asset to our team you should have experience with a subset of the technologies that we use: Linux, Apache, Ruby or PHP, MySQL, Unity 3D, Javascript, EC2, JQuery, iPhone, Android, Titanium, Phonegap, REST. We do not expect any candidate to have the complete list, so we’re primarily interested in your experience and proven capacity to adapt to new technologies and situations.
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Ability to evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.
- Familiarity with object oriented programming practices.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proven ability to work in a team environment on a shared code base.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience working within and extending one or more scripting languages.
- Track record of on-time and on-budget delivery.
The successful candidate has to have at least 5 years experience in either web, mobile or game development, plus a track record of mastering new technologies to solve hard problems. It also helps to be enthusiastic, honest, and fun to be around – that includes being able to laugh at yourself and to make others smile.
