Canadians Rank High Globally for Health Tech Product Innovation
Ayogo was not the only Canadian company to make the list. With nine Canadian health technology companies on this year’s list, it shows that Canadian companies are strong performers globally when it comes to healthcare technology innovation. The Global Digital Health 100 selection process follows 6 months of research. The final selection was made by the editorial and advisory team at the Journal of mHealth. Awardees represent 14 different companies.

The judges analyzed 10 different quantitative and qualitative evaluation metrics. These included disruptive impact; proof of concept; innovation; social value; effectiveness; execution of strategy; and industry integration. The 100 companies that made the cut because they also had the capacity to be disruptive in improving healthcare at scale. The judging criteria allowed innovative start-ups to be compared alongside health technology products of established and larger organizations.
